xiggi-because borrowing money for something like a coat-another coat that could ALSO get lost or stolen is insanity to me. Kid’s mom made it clear there is no spare money and I’ve been in that situation, when Goodwill or the like was my only option. Now I shop there for the thrill of the hunt, but why pay (or borrow) $30, 40 50 or more when you can find a good, warm coat for $10. I know that might not make sense to people with plenty of funds but borrow, even such a small amount, doesn’t make sense when you have nothing.
