You will probably have a better idea once you visit, walk the campus, talk to people, ask questions etc.
I have not seen Ohio State but am somewhat familiar with Stony Brook. Stony Brook is probably quieter which is something you may like (not sure about the weekends). It is not a big “rah rah” school like Ohio State. I think Stony Brook has a strong science feel to it. That doesn’t mean Ohio State does not- I have never been there.
My advice for large classes is to get there early and sit front and center. You should also attend all office hours. This is exactly what my daughter did at her large school and she is still very close with her professors today (she graduated).
