I’m at SB. Ask away.

for AP credit…
i took ap euro exam (got a 4) and ap american (got a 4)
i am going to take ap government and ap macroeconomics exam
would it be a waste of time and money to take these two tests?
since i have already recieved credit in a social studies exam?
thank you

No, it wouldn’t be a waste of time. For getting out of DECs, you’re right that they all fill DEC F and so seem redundant. However, there are a few good reasons to take them anyway if you can afford it. The first of those is that if you think you might want to take courses in either of those disciplines at SB, getting out of the intro courses would be a good option to have. The more important benefit, however, is the possibility of advanced class standing, which brings with it many tasty plusses–having entered with a year’s worth of AP credit (35), I get better enrollment appointments, won’t have a problem registering for courses next year that require junior standing (even though it’s only my second year), can have a car on campus next year, and have the option of graduating after three years. APs are a good thing to have in your pocket.

u got an SN?
