Stop kony 2012

^ Funny you mention Invisible Children (IC); I was just reading about them!

So, apparently, not only has Joe Kony been out of Uganda since ~2006, the money donated to IC is used, in large part, to purchase weapons for Ugandan armed forces. Furthermore, there have been many cases, in recent years, of these Ugandan soldiers roving about, with menacing weaponry, of course, and raping/generally messing with other Ugandans–because they have the power, the means . . . because they can.

There’s more on IC, regarding how ineffective their skills with money are, w/r/t what they should be spending toward, but I’ll let the above bit digest. Let me know if you want more reason not to support IC.

P.S. Kony’s still, undeniably, an evil man, and though his actions are reprehensible and very condemnable, try not to get sucked into this IC thing too blindly; do some resarch, all.
