<p>Haha, yeah, I see that all the time on these forums. People often over-estimate how poorly they did, so they convince themselves that they did poorly, when they actually did quite well. But usually people are just being honest because they thought they did worse then they actually did. But when it’s something like: “omg i thot i got a 1 but i actualy got a 5!!! omgzers!” Honestly people. Yeah, that I can’t stand, because obviously the person knew they did AT LEAST decent.</p>
<p>well it might also be because a 70% most of the times gets u a 5, but in school 70% is a C. So when they take the Ap test, the people who get 5’s prolly get 90+ in school, but on the exam get around 75, and so when u come out of the test its like doom cause u feel like u missed 25% of the whole test, and in school that would have been horrible.</p>

<p>Sorry if that type of comment annoys you (I think I made one of that sort in one of the grades threads), but please don’t think I was just doing it for some sort of show to inflate my ego. I really did think that I did worse than I apparently did, and every day since I took the tests it has been eating away at me more and more, and I slowly had become more and more convinced that I did much worse than is reasonable. I just was kind of panicking, I genuinely wasn’t expecting scores that good. I mean, I only wrote like five pages total for all my APUSH essays, and I know lots of people fill the booklets and only get 4s doing that.</p>
<p>If you get offended by crap like that then you have some self confidence problems.</p>
<p>to get a 5 on an AP test you only have to get around 65-70%. that would be a terrible percentage on an actual test, which is why most people feel that they completely screwed up. if you don’t like it, no one’s forcing you to read comments like that. </p>

<p>I tend to underestimate myself on purpose, so that way if I get a 4 rather than a 5 or something I’ll be less upset. Yeah, I agree it’s a bit annoying when people claim to have gotten 1’s and then get 5’s, but if it’s like “Oh, I thought I’d have gotten a 3 or a 4, but I got a 5! Yay!” then… I think it’s understandable.</p>

<p>Well, I honestly swore that I BOMBED AP Bio, but I got a 4… For crying out loud, I wrote the 2nd essay which was supposed to be about cephalization on the anus (I went into quite a lot of detail regarding this haha) and I wrote the 4th essay with the DNA recombination or w/e on the reasons why Bob Saget is God! So… yes it was a surprise that I got a 4, sorry for saying so!</p>
