I just received a notice that says a stop on my record was placed by the office of registration. The reason-failure to pay the remaining tuition bill. Normally my financial aid (both tap and pell) fully covers my tuition bill. However, my record shows I am taking 1 non-major course so while I am register for a 14 credit course load, in essence, I am really only taking 10 that goes towards my major. 2 weeks ago, I spoke with my adviser about the non-major course & it’s affect on my Financial aid (specifically TAP). She said she’ll substitute the non-major class as one of my required elective course.

While I wait for that to fix, what does the stop on my record do? Will it de-register any of my current courses? I really hope it doesn’t. I consistently checked my school’s website for updates, but it looks like the non-major course still remains…

Please help!
