Storage case for dorms?

I’m going to MSU this fall and i don’t know how many storage case and boxes and stuff I should buy for my dorm room.

I’m talking about stuff like this
[Walmart.com: Sterilite 3-Drawer Wide Cart, White: Storage & Organization](http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite-3-Drawer-Wide-Cart-White/8282897)

[Walmart.com: Mainstays Storage Combo Set, Fucshia Pink: Kids’ & Teen Rooms](http://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainstays-Bathroom-Organizer-and-Laundry-Bag-Set-Fuchsia/14170709)

Is all that even necessary and if how many should i get??
i’m a girl btw.

Also a girl: back when I lived in a dorm (I live an apartment now) I used to use those and, in my opinion, they’re a great to have.
I had about three. One I kept extra blankets and sheets in, and kept it under my bed. Another was one of those stackable ones that have the pull-out drawers and I kept various things in there: from toiletries like toothbrushes and soaps and such, and
towels to make-up and jewelry and some other random things.

The last one I kept my valuables in (it was a footlocker with a lock) like my wallets, some DVDs or game system, etc.

I highly recommend getting them. They have a lot of uses for them.

Plus they’re great to have for move-in and move-out days. I always packed all my stuff in the trunks–even my television–so when I moved in and out (for the most part) all I really had to carry were the trunks.

And anything that didn’t fit in the trunk that had to be packed loose in the car (after I empty the trunk on the first trip in) I could just toss in and drag the trunk back toy dorm.

I also suggest trying to get storage cases with wheels for the above reason.

Forgot to add: for actual boxes try to get collapsable boxes to save on car space when moving in.
I bought a bunch from Bed Bath and Beyond that fold flat; plus they had a bunch of cute colors and designs.

Can you go shopping after you have moved in? It’s hard to estimate what you will need and have space for (!) ahead of time.

Also forgot to add (sorry, I swear this is the last one):

I used one of my larger trunks as like a broke student’s coffee table and tossed a small table runner over it. It worked out great.

I suggest you go shopping for stuff like this afterwards… Unless you have alredy seen the room and know how much closet space and drawers you have.
