@emeraldkity4 I had seen that story about the PA high school boy who took his down syndrome friend to the prom as he had promised back in 4th grade and thought that was terrific.

The other day, someone posted the following link on Facebook and I saw it in my newsfeed. I think it is wonderful, and I sent it to my 26 year old daughter and her fiancé, as they just got engaged and told them to watch it together, which I hope they do, but she is on a trip out of the country at the moment without the internet:

ek, I think you meant Prince Harry. Prince Andrew’s mother is still alive and sitting on a throne.

This is a few years back, but I love this story:

Here’s a more personal one. I was talking to my dog’s breeder and she told me a story about my dog’s sister. This dog is being trained as a diabetic alert dog. One night, she woke her owner up. The woman checked her blood sugar and found it was fine but the woman felt terrible. She ended up calling for an ambulance. At the hospital, the woman found out that she was having a silent heart attack. Smart doggie! This made my day. My dog would probably shove his tennis ball in my face.

Derby the dog born with deformed front legs runs for the 1st time on 3D printed prosthetics.

This makes me cry with joy every time I see him run
:o3

When one of our cats was dying, I carried him in a basket on to the deck so he could be in the sun. Our mail carrier came by and she asked to see him because he’d always been so friendly in the driveway. She stepped on to the deck and our cat lifted his head, then stood and climbed out of the basket so she could rub his head. She left and he lay right down and I put him back in the basket. I told my wife what happened and we decided maybe he had a bit more life in him, that maybe we should try again thought the medication didn’t seem to be working, so we took an eye dropper and pushed tuna juice mixed with vitamins in him. Maybe it was a coincidence but he came back from the dead yet again and lived for several months in seeming good health. Now he’s under a rock in the yard.

Here’s a story that got to me this week:
