Train is usually around $150 each way (non holiday). It is easy, and she’s done it a few times, but after a couple of trips it gets pretty expensive. (Although I probably spend the equivalent in worry.) Plane tix are cheaper, next time she wants to take a trip home we might try it. D has some travel anxiety, especially when travelling by air, so not sure how that’ll work out.

Sounds like everyone’s chicks are safely making their way back to the nests - so good to hear! VH, enjoy the first holiday in your new home!

There is another thread about anxiety while flying…

Remind me not to put the kids on Frontier out of Denver. S2 is sitting at the gate. Plane is there…they are delayed two hours…just like the trip home before this one and the trip home before that one. Denver is clear skis. Our airport is clear skies. Frontier is horrible and it’s got to be them, because every other plane in and out of Denver is pretty much on schedule. I’m back to United. Not gonna like this hour trek to the airport to pick him up in the wee hours of the morning. Thank goodness it’s a Saturday.

momofthreeboys==given how Frontier routes their planes, the crew for that flight might be stuck somewhere else. I’ve looked into using Frontier before but having to run every flight through Denver just makes for a LONG day.

Earlier today I tried to reply to VeryHappy, but I had no reply option. Glad you can all celebrate in the new house.

Last week on our local news they said that Frontier was rated last for on time performance this year. I have never flown them.

Thanks, gloworm. It feels really funny in a new house with the same old people!

S2 is at the airport in plenty of time. Don’t know of any delays. That beat’s Thanksgiving when everything was delayed with heavy fog in Chicago. He and GF made it home about 4 1/2 hours late (fortunately, connection was delayed, too). I know someone else who had a 13 hour delay yesterday at the airport. It appears they’re on the plane now. Glad I’m not flying this season.
