@Christi1993 can you help or confirm. 6 hours of Math are required to get into Ag Business Development & Leadership. Math 140 (grade of D) and Math 142 (grade of A) completed. When talking to Ag advisor, they shared that a D is ok as long as overall GPA is higher than a 2.5 and credit requirements met. So it appears that requirements to transfer are met. Also after March transfer was denied due to the 2nd Math not being completed (it was 2 days later), admissions agreed to appeal and said to resubmit grades at end of Spring. All green checks in AIS, Transfer Audit complete and Academic Record showing up in Howdy, AIS status shows Under Review. is this good? Was advisor correct on the D?
Yes. That appears to all be correct. They only require 6 credits of math to be completed and no other courses as long as you have 24 graded courses completed.
Glad you appealed for spring grades. Well done. All looks good. Gpa isn’t stellar but for this degree transfer, it’s not necessary.
Hi - I have a question about Spring ‘26 transfer. My son wants to transfer as a plant and soil science major - he has been at a small college playing golf and now has transferred to Blinn to get the required math for transfer. Based on the how we are reading. The transfer requirements he can apply with having completed Math 1324? He’s has 50 + transferable credits with 2.65 gpa. What are his chances?
GPA is pretty low, but Plant and Soil requirements for gpa is at the bare minimum of 2.5 so he’s higher than that. Playing golf in college will look good for him… time management, dedication, etc. How many science credits does he have and what are the grades in that field?
He has intro chem w/ B and taking Geology in fall. Agronomy w/ B. He was taking Chem 1 but had to drop a couple courses in the spring due to a family member illness.
He also has learning disability which he discusses navigating in his essay along with managing academics and athletics
It’s really going to depend on competition for this major. What’s his 2nd choice major?
turfgrass science or horticulture
