<p>Earlier today, I missed a call from the general Claremont college phone number. When I called back, I was told that there was no way to trace who made the call. Pomona is the only Claremont college I applied to and I’m currently on the wait list, so I assume it was from them. </p>
<p>I’m not getting my hopes up, but could this have been a wait list call? It seems very early for that and it’s strange that they didn’t leave any messages (though my name is not on my voicemail). Anyone have any insight?</p>
<p>I don’t have any insight from experience, but as I see it you have a couple of options here. You could call them following up, just in case it was them and to show your level of interest or you can just wait and see if that number calls back again. Seems to me if Pomona is your first choice, and especially if there won’t be someone home if they were to call back, you can’t hurt yourself to show how interested you are in them. You would be making sure that any questions they have or information they need is provided as soon as possible.</p>
