Strange Predicament

I was lucky enough to get accepted to a program at our local UMass for some classes during my senior year. My school has a rotational schedule. However, this would require me to miss two classes every morning (on certain days) and make it up in two study halls. I am going to be taking these APs next year: Calc AB, English, and Bio. Is it possible for me to self-study some of these?

I am really worried about AP Calc, because it is known to be the hardest subject in my school. Can I expect to actually survive this class by reading a prep book over the Summer? And which one?

Out of the three, your best bet (if you had to do a self-study) is probably English. I mean, you already have the fundamental knowledge – knowing how to read, I mean :D. Which one are you taking? Language or Lit? A lot of people at my school take the Language exam without taking the class anyway, and Lit is fairly easy… you just have to find a list of the books AP tests us on and familiarize yourself with a good number of them. There are a lot of AP lesson plans online; you can probably follow one of those.

Yeah, I don’t recommend self-studying math and science, unless if you already have a solid foundation in the subject (like, if you’ve already taken a non-AP version of the course or something). English and social studies APs are easier to self-study in, because it’s pretty easy to understand concepts by yourself.
