Strategies for checknig ACT Math?

I’ve taken 4 ACT practice tests (Red book and PR) and the only thing holding me back from getting more than a 30/31 is silly mistakes. I’ve been worknig on my time and have about 10 minutes to check my work, but I normally get through only a little more than half my test. Does anyone have any tips for how to check over you answers faster?

The best way is to check your work as you go through it.

Negatives and minus signs should always be double checked.
Make sure to flip your inequality sign around when you multiply/divide by a negative.

Other things you should watch out for truly depend on what you miss. Go back and check what type of mistakes you tend to make, and be wary of them so you don’t have to deal with them later on.

Also remember that you can define integer values (try to avoid -1, 0, and 1 though) to any two expressions to check if they are equal. Most of the time this will work.
