Strengthening my application

I want to apply to Michigan’s lsa with a major in biology. I had a 3.5 gpa freshman year due to personal problems but now am a sophomore and got a 3.83 first semester and should get a 4.0 second semester. I am taking 4 years of French, 5 ap classes (2 Junior year 3 senior) dancer for 14 years and track for 3 years. I have a 27 act but should be able to raise it to hopefully a 32 by Junior year.

My question is do I stand a good chance for Michigan? I know gpa is low but shouldn’t it help that it’s getting higher each semester? What other things should I do to strengthen my application? Such as Nhs community service etc. Any ideas would be helpful.

Keep your GPA above 3.8
Solidify that ACT score, do practice tests, read around on this forum, find a reputable tutor (not princeton review etc)
Talk to your counselor
Start volunteering, joining clubs, -> getting involved, will also be good application essay topics
