strengths

When we went to an admissions session over the summer, the counselor mentioned 5 “strengths” that would increase your admissions chances. I think I remember two were having a parent who attended, and top 10% of class. Does anyone remember the others?

I don’t remember hearing about any “5 strengths” business, but I do seem to recall that FSU likes to see that freshman applicants have completed a year of calculus in high school.

Strength of schedule is one – having a certain number (I can’t recall how many) of honors/AP/IB courses. They also look at the number of math classes, plus your course schedule in your senior year.

I remember hearing about the “strengths”!
My memory of what they were exactly is somewhat blurry. However, I remember the ones about having an alumni parent, being in the top 10% of the class, extracurriculars, and leadership roles.
Maybe the other one was about a high GPA? I don’t remember. The ones I listed above are significant though.
I also thought there were 10 strengths they stated when I went earlier this year. :/
