Stress Relief Thread...

I have just about bitten my nails to the bottom... well actually i dont bite my nails... but I AM really really nervous and I really really really want to get in... and dec. 15 is just not close enough... hopefully there are others out there like me... and if so, i thought this would be a nice thread for some heartfelt ranting of any sort...

Exactly my feelings. I don't know what I'll do if I get deffered or don't get in..

If I got deferred, I'd call myself one lucky bugger.

This is the time to take a deep breath and try to shut off the chatter in your head. Think of it this way: no matter how much you worry and fret, the sun will come up tomorrow whether you are ready for it or not. At this point things are out of your hands, and there's nothing gained by working yourselves into a frazzle. Hang in there!

why do we find out soooo late?!?!??!
i mean, columbia and dartmouth are like the 8th, browns the 12th, and penns the 14th. why do we find out so late? and why do we not get emails? and why do we not get id's so we can check online? i just want my rejection/deferral letter so i can move on with life already!!

No confindence? Come on people.
It's all up in the air for everybody, but have some fun with it.

" Davan: No confindence? Come on people.
It's all up in the air for everybody, but have some fun with it."

Defense Mechanism.... eeek

I think that the important thing is that you have a good back-up system.

I know that I am freaking out that I will get rejected. That doesn't mean I should give up on college, though.

In the summer, I was so confident, like, "Oh, I don't have to worry, I'll get in". But as the deadline approaches, my confidence keeps going down. I don't want to have to tell people I got rejected! There's this bastard teacher at my school who implied I couldn't get in, and if he's right...I couldn't handle it.

But to everyone else:

If you're really that interested in Chicago, I'm sure they'll get that from your application and you'll get in. You wouldn't be on this board if you were that excited.

Best wishes everyone,

Of course I am not positive I will get in--can anybody really? My point is people are stressing out about it far too much. As said in an opening speech a couple years ago, there is no found correlation between like people of how much you will make once you graduate college, nor your level of success. By being interested in Chicago, you are already seperated from the rest, to an extent. Have some fun with it and hope for the best.

I think everyone here is qualified in their own way, from what I have seen, and I think we will see a lot of CC'ers get in early.

Anybody notice how so many Ayn Rand fans are applying? ;)

last night I dreamt that I was accepted. it seemed so real...

hahaha Ria, I had a similar dream too - my acceptance letter in the dream had the a big maroon on the letter...

I really hope all of you guys get in early.

Good luck with your finals!!!
