Hey guys, I’m a junior moving on to senior year. My GPA is a 2.7 and I am worried about colleges looking at that and not being impressed. I have looked for colleges and I got recruitment letters from Concordia, Irvine and Soka University for track and field. I’ve also have been interested in Biola University and ASU. I have not taken the SAT yet but I will be taking classes for it over the summer. I really want to study film but my parents keep telling me that it is too hard to find a job in that field, which makes me doubt myself, which I do a lot. My family is struggling with money and I’m hoping for a scholarship for track, not sure if you guys know what these number mean but I finished junior year with a 51.5 second 400 meter time and I’ll be training for the 800 meter. Please help me out, it would be much appreciated!
Hi trackrunner123,
Deciding for college is a great experience! My best advice to you would be to visit these colleges and see what they can offer to you. The link for Concordia’s tour is http://www.cui.edu/admissions/undergraduate/visit. I would contact the coach so that he knows you are interested as well.
