Stressing out. Chance me, please? (lots of AP's, average GPA)

SENIOR: (grades as of sem 1)

AP Calculus BC- C (not happy with this)

My SAT Scores are as follows: 700/660/630 Essay: 9 (CR/M/W)

I am a four year varsity athlete (lacrosse), worship band member at church twice a week (4 years), member of NHS(2 years), member of my school’s programming team(1 year) member of my school’s robotics team( years), peer tutor (2 years), and I am on a research team at my school testing the hydration of lunar regolith in micro-gravity(1 year). We were the only high school aged team (the rest were colleges and companies) to have our experiment selected by Citizens in Space to fly on their XCor Lynx spacecraft later this year. Finally, I am a high school leader for my church’s middle school youth group(2 years).

If you take a look at the Common Data Set, the 25th - 75th percentiles for the SAT are:

CR: 580 - 670
M: 600-690
W: 570 - 670 (though focus is primarily on CR+M)

Your scores are close to/over the 75th percentile for M and CR. It looks like you’ve taken a challenging course load. Two C’s in your high school career aren’t as terrible as you think it is. While nobody here can make any guarantees, I think there’s no reason for you to get stressed. Just keep your grades up and relax! Good luck!
