stressless recliner

Does anyone here own an ekornes stressless recliner? I have wanted to buy one for a while, although they are mighty pricey. Xmas and my upcoming 50th birthday make me wonder if I should splurge and actually buy one. If you have one, how has it held up? do you like it and do you think it was worth it? I’m looking at their most basic model with basic leather; with promotional discount it still runs around $1000. Ouch… Should I or should I not??? If it lasts for the next 50 years of my life…

We have one that is well over 20 years old, probably 24 or 25. I wish it would die but it will not. My husband wanted it and his father gave it to him for Christmas. It has survived four moves, three kids jumping and climbing on it, and even lived outdoors on the patio for a few years. It has outlived several pets. Right now it’s in my son’s room serving as his TV chair. The chair is older than him. My advice is be sure to choose a style and color you can live with for many, many years!

If it’s like the one we have, there is no good place to put your cup. The little table you can get that attaches to it is no good.
