<p>last year in high school for a program, i slept in this guy’s dorm, he was a 4th year and an R.A. at de neve. he told me next year(which is this year) he is going to the philippines to study stroke research… he seemed super smart, i guess it must be competitive. his name was also featured on the school website</p>

<p>i think the stroke study obsessed191 is referring to is the UCLA Stroke Team. first time i heard of that i thought it was something related to crew, until i saw all the medical expertise involved. but it definitely sounds and looks legit. SRP credit plus research exp plus doctorate contacts plus possible volunteer all bundled up equals something worthwhile to pursue and talk about. but as always, with medical stuff comes that little thing they call the GPA.</p>
<p>hhaha. yeah you’re right jolius that’s what i was talking about. yeah, I heard it’s almost impossible to get…I really want to do it, but I’m debating whether it’s even worth it or not since my gpa isn’t so high.</p>
