So, even though you made it to junior year in engineering (but have much more credits which don’t count), I had some questions about upper division classes. You need to maintain a C average in your major. What happens if you really like engineering but are mostly in the B- to C range? Do many people have to drop out in junior or senior year from engineering due to grades dropping? Basically all the classes are in your major. What would you possibly switch to to graduate from USC if you have enough credits but not enough in your major? Do many end up leaving and finish their degree somewhere else?
Any help appreciated. Jusc? Telliot?

any thoughts on this one?

You like engineering but don’t want to be booted out of USC Engineering because of fear of falling below the required gpa? Why you aren’t confident you can succeed in upper division engineering courses even though you still like the course work?

Why would you drop out if you’re in the B-/C range? Isn’t that passing? What’s the issue?

Are you getting poor grades in all your classes?

If you’re ME or AE, you’ve probably got the weed out class of Mechop right now. I escaped with a C+ and B- in the two semesters of that class, but otherwise did ok for the rest of junior/senior years.

If you’ve been getting poor grades in your math classes and 200 level classes and it doesn’t seem like it’s clicking, I would consider changing, but if engineering is what you want to do, work harder and you can still succeed.
