This semester for some reason all five of my classes got scheduled on the same day (back to back with one break at 3:30). There were no other options for scheduling. I just don’t think I can handle it and I am struggling. Firstly, I dread the days where I have class because I don’t get a lunch break and I’m constantly tired and can barely stay awake in class. The amount of work that piles up on my days with no class is overwhelming, and my general health in hurting from it - I’m stressed all the time, don’t care about how I look, dread going to class, and I’ve been more sick this semester than I have ever been. This contrasts with last semester - I had energy, I enjoyed classes, I put effort into my social life and myself.
The thing is, however, I dropped a class with a W last semester, and I feel that with a triple major and minor if anything I should be adding classes instead of dropping them. Do I just need a change of attitude? Or what?
I think this is your problem. Why are you triple majoring? Why are you minoring? There’s very little point to it and it sounds like it’s putting unnecessary stress on your life. The only reason why you should be triple majoring and minoring is if it’s very easy to do so, but it doesn’t sound like it is. It’s much better to do well in your classes and have time to do things outside of class related to what you want to do in the future, like working, getting an internship, or doing research.
Drop a class, and keep this in mind when planning your schedules out in the future. It’s very rare that your only option is to schedule five classes in a row, and I suspect that it may have had something to do with your particular triple major.
