I’m a sophomore at Alcorn State University in Mississippi and it is extremely hard finding friends out here. I’m an out of state student and the differences between the people at home and out here are that they are on different sides of the spectrum. Like the people out here are just… not my cup of tea. I know its me picking up the people’s vibes but its so hard being alone all of the time when I try so hard to be open but I just don’t like some of the people. Finding those few people that will be lifelong friends is not working and I’m getting frustrated. Please help me with tips or something PLEASE! 
I would post this on the College Life board. Also, why not tey the Alcorn State board?
Maybe you need to step outside your comfort zone and take a walk on the other side to see their way of life? This sounds like culture shock to me…try things their way for a while.
