I’ve narrowed down the schools that have accepted me to Ohio State-Columbus and Georgia-Athens.
I will major in foreign languages. Both have accepted my transfer credits to cover their general education requirements (English, math, etc.) so I would only be taking language courses. I graduated in 2006 from Texas-Arlington with a business/Spanish degree, and both schools are okay with that and have accepted me as a transfer student.
I will be out-of-state for both but finances are no issue. I’ve lived most of my life in Texas and Louisiana so Georgia life wouldn’t be a shock. I’ve also lived in Norway and Colorado and have dual citizenship with Canada so cold weather at Ohio State is fine with me. In fact, I’m very interested in watching B1G hockey there.
As far as a career, product localization and translation interest me the most. I have a business degree and a certificate in Spanish translation. I’m going back to school to add Japanese and Russian to my arsenal. Languages are my passion.
I just need a tie breaker. This is so tough for me! Thanks everybody!
