<p>Hey, I’m a freshman going to IU next year. It seems that I’ve been assigned to the SE neighborhood, even though i applied for the NW neighborhood. I wanted the social scene, and SE is so far from all of my classes. I’m wondering if there is anyway that i can request a dorm change.</p>
<p>How is SE the furthest from your classes? Read is actually the dorm closest to the main academic buildings, where the majority of your classes will be freshman year.</p>
<p>i was talking to someone in housing that said 2-3 weeks into the school year you get the opportunity to request a room change…i suggest waiting til then to make sure that is what you really want to do… some of the dorms in NW neighborhood are pretty remote too…</p>
