Alright, quickly here are my stats (incoming senior):
SAT I: 2150 (V 750 W 750 M 650)
SAT II:Math IC 620 US History 640 Spanish 660 (going to retake)
ACT: 32
AP’s (so far): US Hist 5 Spanish 4 (school is pretty limited in AP’s does not allow AP’s before Junior year ect.)
GPA (Unweighted): 3.78
Go to very respected prep school
-I am interested in humanities (poli sci, international relations, ect.) but I am not really decided, and outside of humanities I would do business
-I seem to have a lot of reach/high match schools, and maybe only one safety school, what I need is more safety school and “Match” schools
-Here is what I have: Columbia, Amherst, Northwestern, Cornell, Wash U, Emory, Tufts, Carleton, Colgate, Claremont Mckenna/Pomona, Colorado College…any more suggestions?

How about Rhodes or Denison?

Macalaster, perhaps? Maybe Occidental? Dickenson? It’s hard to get a handle on what you’re looking for from a school…Cornell and Carleton are rather different!

PS and IR would be considered social sciences, not humanities. ;)

That said, I second recommendations for Occidental, Denison, Macalester…although I’d actually cosider Mac more of a match.

How about Lewis and Clark? Willamette? Pitzer?

I second Macalaster (not a safety though!) but also have to ask if you know what you want in a school given your wide array of choices…

Okay, yeah I wrote that pretty late last night, I was not all that clear. You can take Northwestern off of that list, and the reason Cornell is on that list is because, for some odd reason, I am really intrigued by the Hotel Administration school, but outside of that I would say that I am interested basically in a liberal arts education at either a LAC or a university in the vain of Wash U, Tufts ect.

Also are my current SAT II’s scores enough to keep me out of some of the schools that I listed? I would hope that SAT I’s and ACT’s would outweigh them…

Your SATs are below average for Tufts, Cornell, WashU, and maybe Northwestern – the averages are in the 700s in each subject for all those schools.
