Student-case Workshop

Hey, Hey, Hey!!

Um, Um . . .
Is there a student-case workshop for MIT? I mean can someone give an summary for why you accepted X student and rejected Y student? Harvard had this, my councelor said. Er, could you write out an example of a summary of a student and tell me why he/she wasn’t a match for MIT, etc.

YOu don’t need to give me the name of the student, but I was just asking out of curiosity . . . It might help me to actually understand how MIT’s admissions works and it might also help others.

I know it’s too mcuh work, but I am begging you to help me out here.

Thanks!

The admissions committee does not share the details of their decisions, and there is no “student-case workshop” available for MIT. Such information would not help any particular student anyway. In what way do you think it would “help you out here”? Knowing the details of someone else’s decision (which is not available anyway) wouldn’t change anything about how any one person’s application is considered.

oK, I understand. Thank you!

they have some examples they talk about in info sessions-like ben jones talked about how one girl’s rescue squad activity demonstrated her alignment with MIT’s mission to help the world etc. but i don’t think you would be able to get access to any specific case
