I am an international student form Germany and I would like to know how likely it is to get a job on campus during summer session? And if I am eligible to get a student job during summer break, even if I do not attend classes during this break?

Also, the break access housing contract is not eligible for the summer break, is there any other option to get cheap housing during summer break, so that I can work on campus?

Housing over the summer will be a sublet of someone else’s apartment – check craigslist starting in March, and you will be able to find something. Keep in mind that rent is going to run you quite a bit.

Jobs on campus will be at Findley Commons (dining halls that stay open for camps most of the summer) and restaurants in town that lose their staff when the semester ends. There are not as many as you might think, so apply early and often There is also part-time work at the Jordan Center and Performing Arts center, but I’m not sure that would be enough to pay the bills. If you are not picky about what you do, just want a job, you shouldn’t have a big problem finding one in town.

If by student job you mean work-study grant jobs, I don’t know enough about that to offer advice. Typically, you have to qualify for financial aid for those, and international students are typically excluded from financial aid grants.
