Student Judicial Services, advice

Okay, so I’m dying of anxiety right now because I got this email saying that I might have been involved in a violation of such and such rules. Having no idea about what the heck they were talking about, I called and they said it was regarding a class I took last semester. Well, bottom line was that I ended up dropping it a few weeks in but can think of nothing that I could have done. I mean the class was web-based and I was getting bad grades so I just got out of it like anybody else.

Has anybody ever had a run in with them? I don’t know what I can tell them other than I haven’t done anything. All did was a few online labs and maybe the first test? It can’t be plagiarizing because there was no written work. I’m so confused. Can somebody help me?

It just made me really nervous and now I have to wait a week for my phone call appointment. I’m about to leave on a study abroad to top it off. x_x

Could it have been a mistake or just an incorrect assumption from a TA? They’re the only people I came in contact with was when I went it to take a few labs which I bombed ironically. Not like I was making A! Anyway, I’m terrified because my study abroad has already been stressing me out financially. D: Something always happens to meeeee.

I’ve had to deal with something like this before. Luckily, it was someone else who was suspected of cheating off of me. They just had me come in to tell my story to make sure all of the facts lined up.

Oh…well, hopefully it turns out to be something like that! I’m just gonna have to relax until next week when I have to make this call. I swear, if it’s not one thing, it’s the other!

I had to go to SJS for a disciplinary issue. I don’t think you have too much to worry about. I did meet with them in person, and the guy handling my case was always really nice to me. From your original post, I doubt there is anything too bad that they could find to call you in for. Good luck!
