I’m entering as a freshman theatre major (performance BFA) and I will probably have to live on campus. I was just wondering what life is like living on campus. I’ve read various things about the dorms. Some said they are great but others said the freshman dorms are horrendous. They said the bathrooms are dirty and the laundry amenities don’t work. Is it true? What’s your experience been? As funny as it sounds, I’m mostly concerned about the bathrooms haha. Where are they, how do they work, etc.
Also, I live in a town about 15 minutes outside Boston. I don’t drive yet but I plan on being able to this summer. Would it be at all possible for me to commute to SSU or is it a stretch? Would it be beneficial to maybe find a place off-campus instead?
I am having a panic attack about living away because I don’t want to have a crappy experience, hate it, and end up having to transfer.
