I’m a recent Berkeley admit who will most likely be attending. However, I’ve heard from several friends that Berkeley is very rigorous and competitive, and that it’s very difficult to get a good GPA. I’m prepared to work hard, but just how manageable is the work? Is it over the top? Or would students still get time to just relax and hang out? My major is undecided for the most part. I’m leaning towards pre-Haas, yet I’m also interested in taking some bio-related courses; I’m planning on seeing how pre-reqs pan out then adjusting accordingly.
Just in general, how much free time would you have? How stressful is it? Do people go into San Francisco often just to hang out?
