<p>Even without the current financial crisis, borrowing that much money each year can present large problems once you enter repayment. You really need to check a loan repayment calculator and see if your monthly payments will be something you can easily cover given your field.</p>
<p>I have a private loan (used for a business I started). It’s only about $2000. The percentage rate on it is less than the stafford loan rate at the moment. I also did not have a cosigner. I got it on my own. I don’t think the rates will be going up anytime soon, but you will be in there for four years so who knows? It’s a risk I would not take. I would rather go to a cheaper school.</p>
