Student Non-filer and DRT?

If student is a not tax filer for 2013 then there is no way for student to use the DRT retrieval tool on the FAFSA, correct? If memory serves me right, the DRT will not show up for a student non filer on FAFSA on the web. I could start a correction to make sure, but I don’t really want to do that. FA office lists on student’s online to do list to use the DRT or submit a tax return transcript. Student has never filed taxes. I am sure that this is a computer generated request that will be satisfied when the FA office looks closer into the file, but still wondering . . . We can submit an IRS non-filer letter, but the IRS says those won’t be available until June 15th.

You are correct - it is automatically generated. Call the aid office - they probably have a non-filer form the student can complete.
