student of the month. will it help?

<p>I have a very high probability of getting a C in my spanish class, whihc will lower my overall GPA about .1. However, the previous year i had gotten student of the month for spanish even though i had only gotten a B. Will this student of the month make them more lenient on my GPA?</p>

You need effort for the latter. :)</p>

<p>it wont kill you in the admissions process, but it does seem kind of ridiculous. it may seem like you were trying to “fill in the blanks” under that section. when i applied, i only put down a few things even when there were 7-8 spaces. dont feel compelled to complete the section.</p>

<p>but at the same time, when i got it, i also got a bunch of certificates of recognition from the CA state senate and the house of reps… and my asb advisor told me i should photocopy them and put them in my apps.</p>
