Student Status Please!!

Say I took 14 units 1st sem freshman year and and 15 units 2nd sem.
I would still be considered a freshman at the beginning of my second year.

Does this hurt you greatly with class selection priority or is it really not that big of a deal?

It means nothing. That’s a very typical course load.

Well, wouldn’t I pick classes AFTER all 2nd years, as if I was a 1st year student?

A difference of a few units doesn’t matter.

My friends had anywhere from 2-10 units less than me and they still were ahead of me.

Honestly, it makes no sense. Don’t worry about it.

“My friends had anywhere from 2-10 units less than me and they still were ahead of me.”

What do you mean by this?
I was just asking about the fact that class selection (as in, Phase I) works with seniors first, juniors second, etc…so, if I had 28 units, and was still a “Freshman” at the beginning of my 2nd year, all 2nd years who had 30 or more units would be able to pick classes before me, thus having an advantage over me…?

Trust me, doesn’t matter. I came in with senior standing, my friends came in with freshmen standing. We all got into the classes we wanted. Unless you’re going after a highly impacted course (which is very unlikely), then it really doesn’t matter.

I had the same standing as my friends but I had anywhere from 2 to 10 more units than them and some of them still got to choose before me.

Units don’t matter to an extent.
