<p>I’m trying to decide between Columbia, Berkeley, Georgetown, and the University of Washington (honors program). But rather than ask which one I should go to, since you don’t know me, I just want opinions on a few specific aspects (easier said than done, of course).</p>
<p>First, academics. Is there a great deal of difference in academic quality between these institutions? They all seem pretty good to me. My major is Japanese right now, but I also want flexibility in case I change my mind.</p>
<p>Second, the student body. I’ve heard various things (college review sites, gah), like students at Berkeley are really opinionated and at Georgetown everyone is rich…but obviously I’m taking it all with a grain of salt. What I’m really wondering here is what type of students generally go to these schools…for instance, are more students at Columbia stuck-up because it’s an Ivy? Or (hopefully) are generalizations not worth making at all because there’s so much difference in the students?</p>
<p>I also welcome any other comments anyone has about these schools. :)</p>
