<p>They are. They want your money, after all.</p>

<p>They don’t have anything to worry about. They have a monopoly on standardized testing in the US, and that’s not going to change anytime soon. They can basically do whatever the hell they want, unfortunately.</p>

<p>If the students were their first concern… they would DE-STRESS-IFY the SAT. … I think I’ve been losing sleep with all of this!</p>

<p>The ETS created this new, even more pain in the a$$ SAT b/c of 2 reasons

  1. Many california colleges said they would start administering their own tests to use as measurements of student academia and admissions. Because UC’s are one of ETS’s biggest customers, the ETS company has to change the SAT if it still wants to keep its profits.
  2. If UC’s start using their own tests, then other colleges might follow their example. The ETS was practically looking at catastrophe where their test might be rendered obsolete!</p>

<p>yeh i talked to a brazilian friend of mine and where he lives every college administers its own standardized test. the sat gives US colleges a much better and even tho it doesnt seem like it, easier system.</p>
