<p>If student provides all assets in question 41 which includes money received from relatives, it seems that money received in question 45j would also include that amount from relatives and would inflate unjustly the resources at students disposal?? Am I missing something?</p>
<p>Yes, the income and assets are assessed at different rates so both must be reported. The student may not have saved all of the money he received so only reporting assets would be wrong. Students do have an income protection allowance of $5700, plus various allowances for taxes, so none of the income up to that level is reflected in the EFC.</p>
