<p>I read studentsreview.com postings on UNC and I was suprised how negative they were. What gives? Do you think these are accurate views on UNC as a whole?</p>
<p>Absolutely not, the majority of people who I know that attend UNC love it there. You cannot take these surveys seriously, who’s to say that some lame Duke or NC State students get on here and write reviews of UNC. I seriously wouldn’t take these into consideration when chosing a school. </p>
<p>Plus, whenever you ask someone to volunteer to reply to a survey or review, you are always going to get more negative reviews than positive, as they are more inclined to gripe than those who want to uplift.</p>

<p>But if you look at the scoring broken down by majors, you get a more complete picture. The kids majoring in Business, Journalism, Economics, Pre-Med, etc…give UNC very high marks, sometimes straight As. The students in the ‘undecided’ category give the school mediocre marks (Bs and Cs) which may more reflect their inability to find direction within themselves than the quality of the school. AND a couple of very disgruntled Accounting majors gave the school straight Fs which brought the overall averages down considerably. I am a CPA and I can tell you Accounting is not an easy major…washout during Intermediate Accounting is common. I would imagine Accounting at a school like Kenan Flagler would be extremely challenging…so it seems likely that the disgruntled Accounting majors probably flunked out.</p>
<p>I wouldn’t take this survey too seriously.</p>
