Students suspended over myspace.com entries

<p>Here’s another instance of problems arising from myspace postings. The Catholic schools in the archdiocese down here have pledged to crack down on it.</p>

<p>One problem that I don’t think many kids are aware of is that, even if they remove their Xanga sites, livejournals or myspace pages, much of what they had posted is still viewable as a cached site through a Google search or through the “Wayback Machine” at <a href=“http://www.archive.org%5B/url%5D”>www.archive.org</a>.</p>

<p>The schools’ action sounds appropriate to me. The parents should at least be aware of what their kids are posting. Ahhhh, I’m so glad my daughter is in her twenties now, and my son is 18. Though I suppose there are plenty of other things I should be worrying about!</p>

<p>The school will look if concerned and its pretty much all public, so what you post beware</p>

<p>Somethings kids put up is just stupid- "hey did you get the “soda” for the party…duh</p>
