Hey,

With NYC being so expensive to live in, I was wondering what students (including international students) who required a “full ride” (i.e, their aid package consisted of tuition + room + board) do over the holidays.

For summer break, I’m guessing on-campus jobs or internships (research or otherwise)?

Is your life essentially “class, dorm, library, class and the occasional party”? How expensive would it be to live in NYC, when one won’t have to spend too much on food and lodging, due to room and board being part of the package?

I ask because I may be in that situation this time next year…that is of course, if I do get in anywhere, let alone Columbia. Depending on the financial aid package, I could have around 100-300 USD to spend.

N.B: Excuse the lame thread title. I couldn’t think of a better way to word it.
