<p>Im wondering about the SA program. It says that the specialization is with Technology and not with traditional media [painting…etc] Do they offer a major in painting? I know they offer minor… the website hasn’t been fully specific with it.</p>

<p>That specialization is not a requirement… You’re allowed to choose your own basic practices (ceramics, painting, drawing, photography, video, etc.). This is the Studio Arts Department catalog section: <a href=“UCI General Catalogue Archives”>UCI General Catalogue Archives; …You’ll be able to see degree requirements and what courses you may choose from. Information on the minor is on that same page too. Studio Art is pretty flexible because it allows you to focus on mediums of your liking. Hence, there’s no such thing as a ‘Painting’ major, because all Studio Art students get a ‘Studio Art’ degree. It’s all up to you in finding out what you’ll do to earn the degree.</p>

Arts and Humanities is the same as Humanities and Arts. You’ll also informally hear it as the AH-HA major.</p>
