Study Abroad/ Early Graduation

Hey,
I’m applying to Gallatin ED. All of my stats are really strong, but I’m sort of an irregular case because I’m graduating early so that I can study abroad in Brazil in case the credits there don’t transfer.

I’ve already communicated with an admissions person at NYU and she said they don’t look well upon graduating early because they think high school should be completed in the standard four years, but since I had a good reason why I was graduating early it was different and wouldn’t affect my application negatively.

I’m sort of stabbing in the dark here, but I was wondering if anyone was in a similar situation to me and got accepted? Looking for reassurance wherever I can get it…

Thanks
Marc

all credits will transfer if you have a grade of C or higher. if they are related to your chosen major or MAP core requirements, they will also transfer to those as well. otherwise they will be transferred as electives only. courses with no grades or pass/fail will not be transferred.

maybe you can try for a NYU study aboard location?

I know of one person who was in one of my GSP classes last year and she had graduated early so that she could travel in Europe (she wasn’t taking classes). She had mentioned something about NYU being really annoying about her graduating early, but… she obviously got in? I hope that helps. Don’t pass up Brazil for NYU, that sounds amazing!
