Study Abroad Scholarships

My d was accepted into a program in high school for proven academically higher standards. They group is planning a Study Abroad trip the summer after her Senior year, (which is in the summer of 2010). It quite expensive. I was wondering if there are any scholarships that we can look into that will pay for an Educational Study Abroad trip for a student traveling with a High School group.

In their brochure state that the “students can earn high school credit by traveling with us. In addition, we work with prestigious names in education like Apple, PBS, the Advanced Placement Program of the College Board and Model United Nations-USA”

Please advise.

I am posting in order to bump it up. Hoping someone will consider an answer to my question. Thank you

I haven’t heard of any such scholarships–I would imagine they would be highly-in-demand! You could consider seeking corporate scholarship, as I’ve seen certain service-abroad companies advise, but I think chances of success would be low. What benefit would the company get? For service-abroad, companies realize the societal dividends of students’ work.

Independent fund-raising, perhaps? Here’s a guide to independent fund-raising: [CYLC:: Congressional Youth Leadership Council](http://www.cylc.org/fundraising/)

You might also consider other cheaper study-abroad alternatives, through religious organizations or Rotary.
