<p>it would be cool to study and see all the interesting differences there are between your culture and theirs</p>
<p>I’d consider going abroad just to get away even though it is probably overrated. I don’t think it’d hurt or really help your career chances all that much if you didn’t do it, unless your major was international relations or something of the like.</p>
