Studying Abroad (for Journalism Majors?)

I really want to study abroad at college.
Locations being: Paris, London, or Tokyo
BU has campuses in Paris + London and I know they do an exchange student program with a university in Tokyo.

But I’m just confused about who can study where?
I’d be a Journalism major at BU if I attended and it seems like with the locations I prefer sometimes only internship programs are available OR you have to speak the language.

Has anyone (especially Journalism majors) studied in Paris, London, or Tokyo that can explain the process to me?
And what are these internship programs? Would I get an internship that pertains to my interests (i.e. fashion/art?)

When I did the internship program in London, I knew one person who was interning at an art museum (but in marketing), another who was doing entertainment journalism, and another who was interning at a place that made costumes for films. Not sure how relevent any of those are for you, but there are certainly a large variety of options. I’m sure you’d be able to find something that suits your needs.

Also, about half the kids in the BU London program don’t go to BU; you can do it even if you go somewhere else and it isn’t hard to get in.
