Hi,
I recently received an offer to study at Cranfield University (United Kingdom).
I studied chemistry in Belgium and am looking to study a Msc in environmental engineering at Cransfield.
The only problem is the system of bachelor’s and masters is entirely different in Belgium compared to the English system.
In Belgium there is a distinction made between professional bachelors and academic bachelors.
I have a professional bachelor in chemistry, which is meant for students who can go straight to working.
The academic bachelor is not aimed for employment after graduating, but for continuing for a master’s degree.
If I would continue in Belgium, I would have to do another year, to be up to date with the courses taught in the academic bachelor in chemistry.
When contacting Cransfield, they said they were happy with my degree, stating that I had obtained a bachelor in chemistry.
Does anybody have any experience with this?
How can I be sure that the courses I had in my bachelor are sufficient to keep up at Cransfield?
