<p>I was in Concert Band for my freshman year…Seeing as the Stanford app. only provides for ECs during 10-12, this doesn’t belong in my app? I was also voted most outstanding freshman which i think is cool.</p>

i think they see it as something thats too in the past to really represent who you are now… i think its cool though. kudos to you : )</p>
<p>Stanford disregards freshman year in both ECs and GPA (as in they cross out your freshman grades and recalculate GPA).</p>
<p>If you really wanted to, I guess you could put it in your essays.</p>
