Stupid ACT Question

At one time, I went to a proper University and earned very high grades, except in mathematics. I unfortunately had to withdraw from this University, because of my being bad in mathematics ;I have a mathematics L.D. and had a registration hold because I took Intermediate Algebra too many times. My registration hold was basically a please do not take any more classes at this University type of hold. Funny thing, I was an English major. I tried to appeal that rule, but no one cared.

In the Spring of 2007 I am going to go to a Community College and take an Associate of Science University Parallel Degree which is instantly transferable to any Public University in my home state.

Should I, to be on the safe side, take the ACT? I am just wondering if that would be a prudent move for when I transfer to a University. I have everything with math worked out where I am going to take math by itself in the summer of 2007 and work with a tutor at the Community College. I was never, at my former University, allowed to spend a summer semester (or any semester) solely taking math and working with a tutor, but I figure that is normal at Community College.

Would taking the ACT look nice to prospective, humble State Universities? Or would the fact that I have transferred around a bit make things look like I am some sort of cheater?

What University? Which state? Why are people so scared of revealing these details?

laneb2005, I used to attend the University of Memphis. And, I live in Tn.
