Stupid ? but please respond ASAP!

Do schools (specifically Cornell, Johns Hopkins, and Northwestern) care which size envelope (big yellow envelopes or normal size envelopes) you use for admissions documents (ie letters of rec, application components…etc)?

you aren’t going to get rejected over it, but the rationale behind having a large envelope is that your papers won’t get folded, crumpled, etc. It’s all about making a good impression, so I’d go for the big envelope unless you have a good reason for it.

hehehe… i was wandering…too…

last time this person from UPENN admission office left a post begging ppl not to send in small normal sized envelopes since they don’t really stay flat on top of the applications…

but since they don’t specify what size the envelopes should be…(unlike stanford which specifically tells you to use 8x11 sized envelope…) i don’t think it really matters…

I used 9x11. But really, from what I hear they just throw the envelope. Which is a waste of paper, but nobody questions the College.
